My heart is absolutely full of Gratitude and Respect for Jina and Kalama Cavaliers. I patiently waited for six years to find our next beautiful soulful Cavalier puppy and the perfect breeder, which lead me to Jina. Even though we were halfway across the country, I felt like we knew our little Mila before we even met her. UPDATE: We’re at doggie training today, and I’m so thankful for Jina Ezell doing the Early Neurological Stimulation. They had construction going on next door and while it bothered most of the other dogs/puppies there, Aspen was phased at all. He stayed right on task. He ignored all the hammering, the banging, the sawing, the metal doors opening and slamming shut.”

Marie Bowman: “We went with Kalama Cavaliers despite the fact we had a Non refundable deposit with the breeder we got our 7 year old from. This was due to her practices and extensive training and socializing her puppies, we just felt more comfortable with our beliefs and evolving mindset. She was mentoring this lady in OR with Shady Cove Cavaliers near where my grandma lives so visiting grandma and picking up our baby worked out so perfect. They send weekly e mails with tons of photos and videos and lots of information. Every day when we pick our puppy up from the sitter, she comments what a dream he is and in her 25 years she never met a 9-10 week old as well adjusted and potty trained as he is. When we went through Reno I played blackjack with him and the players commented how calm and adjusted he is. He has been so easy for us to train so far, he already knows sit, very good recall, knows his name from pick up, and he is learning lay down amongst heel and others. Jina does great with her own dogs and her mentorship program because Shady Cove Cavaliers raised our boy under Jina’s guidance. We love our 7 year old Cavalier, however I cannot say he was near as easy to train and he knew very little when we got him, our experience this time around was the complete opposite.”

Rick & Michelle Douthit & Sir Quigley “About a year ago my wife & I decided we would get one more puppy before we get too old. We started our journey by first researching the perfect breed for us. All roads kept leading us back to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The breed decided, we now needed to find an acceptable breeder. Again, lots of research. And, again all roads kept leading us back to Kalama Cavaliers. I’d like to pause here to clarify something: Jina is NOT at breeder. That moniker has a rightfully negative connotation. Jina is a surrogate mother to all of her puppies, and a family member to all of her clients. If you adopt a puppy from her, be prepared for that type of relationship. We contacted Jina, and began the process of getting our pup. Once we made the decision to go with Jina, that process was very seamless. Since we knew Jina was a small “breeder” we were prepared to wait for the right puppy. My wife will tell you I’m not that good at waiting. Boy, am I glad we did! Finally the day (night really) came when our little guy was born. We named him “Quigley”. We weren’t prepared for the amount of love & communication we got from Jina. Extraordinary! We got many videos, pictures, emails, and FaceTime calls from her. She made sure we felt connected to Quigley from day one, thru the day we got him! We are still friends with Jina & her family to this day. As for Quigley, he’s as close to perfect as puppy can get. He’s so well adjusted and happy. He was nearly100% potty trained when we got him. Any accidents he did have were always near the door, and were our fault for not be attentive enough. Being attentive to this little guy is pretty dang easy too! What a loving puppy he is! I should mention he’s so well adjusted we never had any issues of him crying at night. He sleeps in his crate next to our bed. The only time we’ve heard from him is when he made a soft whimpering noise to let us know he needed to go potty. Mostly though, he just sleeps thru the night. Amazing! There’s much more to talk about (all good) but I think you can get the idea. We love Kalama Cavaliers! 4 week update: Quigley still amazes us in so many ways! He’s so smart & loving. We are able to leave outside by himself or with his brothers for short periods of time without supervision. He shows no desire to roam beyond his self-imposed boundaries! “Quigs” has endless curiosity, which I take as a sign of intelligence. He still loves to smell the flowers!”
